Hello all chess lovers!

We hope to build a nice community of chess interested people in Kista.

We can meet at the office for some F2F games and we also plan to organize a telecom sector competition later in the spring.

Do not hesitate to contact Jan or Gonzalo if you have feedback or proposals for the section.

Thank you very much to all the participants at the I Ericsson - ICT Chess Tournament. I think we all -including the ones like me who lost most of the games- enjoyed a great evening of chess, music and networking.

Congratulations to Ulf Wallgren, who got the 1st prize with an outstanding performance (7.5 / 9 points).

The Tidblad brothers (Olle and Anders) completed the podium with 7 points each.

Looking forward to a similar event in Spring 2025!

Even World Champions can blunder...

Ding Liren (current World Champion) played Rb2 a couple of days ago against Magnus Carlsen, omitting the consequent mate in two.

It's rather uncommon to see such a mistake in an elite game, specially considering that Ding still had more than 30' in the clock...

Think about this next time you blunder in a game! Even World Champs do. :)
