This trip is to Orsa Grönklitt in Dalarna from Thursday December 12th to Sunday December 15th. Open to ESIK members and family and friends. The cost of the trip is 850 per ESIK member (employee or Ericsson pensioner) and 1150 per person who is not an Ericsson employee.
We will stay in cabins that are 3 rooms with 6 sharing. The cost for the trip covers a bed, cleaning and the snow guarantee (money is paid back if there is no snow). You can indicate if you want to share the cabin with named people when you register.
Travel to and from Orsa happens in private cars and we ask people to state if they are taking a car and if they have room to take others. We always ensure that everyone is able to travel. You agree with the driver how the costs for the journey are divided, and that depends on how many there are on the car and the fuel (different prices). The times for leaving Stockholm/Kista and returning are agreed with the driver, but you can indicate if you want to travel early on Thursday, or in the afternoon. The drive to Orsa is usually around 5 hours with a stop in Valbo near Gävle where people usually buy food for the weekend (this is agreed with the driver as some purchase food before leaving home).
The cabins are well equipped and there is usually agreement in the cabin about food and who brings what. With a Friday dinner group and then a Saturday group. These dinners are usually good and fun. There will be an email group for each cabin and then you agree amongst yourselves how you want to proceed.
We will have coaching by Tynell Activity, well renowned coaches with sessions, morning and afternoon on Friday and again on Saturday. These are very popular. There is an additional cost for this, last year for ESIK members it was SEK 2050 and for non-Ericsson 2350. (Please be aware that we can have coaching for skate as well as classic. You can indicate this in your booking if you want skate/freestyle and we will try and address that need if there is enough interest.)
NOTE: If you are paying for additional people you set the number and add the names at the bottom. You can then agree with your friend to transfer money to you. We hope this is easier. People from outside usually join with an ESIK friend. We hope this is clear. If not, see contact below.
We have 10 cabins with 6 beds in each and they are close to the central tracks in Orsa. Please book early so we don't have capacity that we don't use as this will only make trips more expensive if we don't fill beds. We will appoint a cabin leader (stugvärd) who will coordinate food, bringing things like kitchen towels, spices, candles and so on. Everyone brings their own bedlinen and towels.
